The death of childhood? The anxious generation? There has been much debate about what screens, scrolling and social media are doing to children, and the book "The Anxious Generation" by American social psychologist Jonathan Haidt rocket fuelled the topic. It is a much referenced tome by parents and politicians working to ban phones in schools and to enforce age restrictions on social media. I interviewed Haidt for Dagens Næringsliv on what led him to write the book, its aftermath, impact and what to do next.
