Interview- Annie Lennox

Sometimes you think big and wonder: "Wouldn't it be cool to interview Annie Lennox?" And then you get a yes! Lennox had just donated lots of music- memorabilia to the Victoria & Albert Museum, and there was to be an exhibition. I got a whole hour on the phone with her, and Lennox spoke passionately about her career and charity work and said "bullshit" more than once. She was much tougher than she was portrayed in a biography I read to prepare. It seems to me that it is a typical narrative to portray women at the top of the music world as lonely, insecure, and sad. Lennox was none of these things. A true legend.
