The short novel Orbital won the Booker prize in 2025 and suddenly author Samantha Harvey, who does not own a mobile phone, was famous. She wanted to write about the climate crisis and ended up with a story set in space. In this portrait interview we spoke about how fragile the earth is and what we can do about it.
