Interview - Tilda Swinton

I'm not sure how a 10-minute "last interview of the press day" turned into a 40-minute conversation about dressing up, darning holes in your cardigans and threesome drama, but it happened. I like to think it was because of my thoroughly researched opening question, but it might just as well have been that Swinton felt sorry for me. It was my first assignment after my second maternity leave. I had a baby and a 3-year-old and was so brain-foggy that I allowed long pauses to arise where I should have fired off smart follow-up questions. Swinton kept talking to fill in the gaps and the interview became an unexpected cover story.
